The Isle of Wight will be transformed into a mecca for lovers of fairy tale fancy dress this weekend, as Bestival is taking place.

Known for its emphasis on fun and fancy dress as well as cutting-edge music, the annual four-day event has chosen "fantasy" as its costume theme this year.

Making the announcement earlier this year, Bestival organiser and Radio 1 DJ Rob da Bank suggested festival-goers should consider outfits inspired by Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, The Wizard of Oz, The Lord of the Rings, King Arthur and other fantastical


X Factor wannabe Cher Lloyd may be named after a certain singer, but she has revealed she doesn't fancy wearing Cher fancy dress to emulate her.
