Christmas fancy dress launches Chatsworth’s festive displays

The festive displays at Chatsworth House and estate in Derbyshire have now been launched with the help of Christmas fancy dress.

This year, the theme is A Russian Christmas and the stately home – which was the setting for the film Pride and Prejudice starring Keira Knightley – is lavishly decorated with trees, nativity scenes and decorations.

Children’s fancy dress livens up national celebration of books

Children's fancy dress helped to liven up National Children's Book Week recently, with schools all over the country joining in with activities to celebrate their favourite characters and stories.

Kids to wear children’s fancy dress in charity drive

Kids at a nursery in Newcastle are to don children's fancy dress as part of a forthcoming charity event this week.

The Croft Day Care nursery is to allow children to dress up in colourful costumes as part of Bring a Pound to Work Day, which is being organised on Friday October 15th 2010 by the Douglas Macmillan Hospice.

Parents of the fancy dress-clad youngsters will pay a pound to the charity drive, while staff members will also be making their own contributions by dressing down on the day, reports the Sentinel.

Children’s fancy dress helped Vernon Kay in the triathlon

Vernon Kay has revealed that seeing his daughter in children's fancy dress helped him to complete a gruelling triathlon last month.

The 36-year-old took part in the 1500m swim, 40k bike ride and 10k run in London for Great Ormond Street Hospital recently and said he was really struggling at the end.
