Our favourite time of year is just around the corner! That’s right it’s almost Halloween and with the date falling smack bang in the middle of the week, it’s an excuse to celebrate on both weekends either side (and all week if we wish, I mean do we really need an excuse haha).
What we do need however is a costume or two, after all isn’t that the whole point of Halloween in the first place!
To help you plan ahead and stay ahead of the game, we have compiled the top trending costumes for this year and it’s looking like the trend is gearing towards film and television characters.
Oktoberfest is the world’s largest Volksfest (beer festival and travelling funfair), which takes place annually in Munich running from mid to late September until the first week of October. The original event was held in 1810, however, over the years it has gradually turned into a world worldwide phenomenon celebrating Bavarian Culture and beer of course. This means lots of fancy dress fun so read on for some fun costume suggestions.
Freshers’ Week is around the corner, and although it’s universally called Freshers’ Week, it’s more like 2 weeks of non-stop partying, meeting new people and dressing up! That’s right Freshers’ week is known for themed parties and fancy dress clubbing. We know it’s like to be a student and living on a shoestring budget ain’t always easy, so we have decided to put together some great fancy dress buys for under £15. No matter what the theme we have something for you so there’s absolutely no excuse why you shouldn’t get involved. Here are some of our favourite bargain costume ideas.
Summer is all around us and so are the greatest festivals. From Kendal Calling to Bestival, Beautiful Days and many many more, we have so much to look forward to! Not only are the best acts on the bill, but the weather is looking more fantastic than ever and we get to dress up! Whilst many of these festivals (as noted in the festival guide) have specific fancy dress themes, others are slightly more casual, but that doesn’t mean fancy dress isn’t welcomed. Whether you’re looking to go all out, or take a more casual approach to your festival look this summer, there’s no reason why your outfits shouldn’t pop with fun and vibrancy.
