Olly Murs: I have to wear fun fancy dress in public to hide

Normally, people wear fun fancy dress to stand out in a crowd, but X Factor star Olly Murs has revealed he uses it to hide from his fans.

The singer, who could hit number one in the charts this weekend, told the Daily Star he resorted to wearing a costume at V Festival so he didn't have to continually pose for photographs.

He dressed up like comedy character Fonejacker for the day, putting sunglasses and a balaclava on so he would be unrecognisable.

Weird Al Yankovic delights fans with fun fancy dress

Comedic performer Weird Al Yankovic delighted his fans in Winnipeg this week with performances of almost all his hit songs in fun fancy dress.

Wacky wheelbarrow race calls for fun fancy dress

Anyone who likes fun fancy dress and has a competitive nature may be interested in heading to Leicestershire next week in time for a special event.

Twyford is holding its annual wheelbarrow races on August 14th 2010 and is looking for more people who want to take part, the Melton Times reports.

Competitors will be able to take part in a variety of different races, including one over tough terrain and a water hazard.

Minehead looks forward to fun fancy dress event

People in Minehead are looking forward to a fun fancy dress event that is set to take place next month in order to raise money for charity.

According to the Somerset County Gazette, more than 30 teams have already registered for the annual raft race that is to be staged by the Royal National Lifeboat Institute on September 4th 2010.

Organiser Derek Williams said he is hoping the event will break last year’s record of 65 teams competing in the race from the Blue Anchor pub to Minehead.
