One Direction Wear Animal Fancy Dress Costumes as Disguises

The hottest boy band on the planet will be headlining the Party in the Park festival in Leeds on the 22nd of July and the festivals organisers are so paranoid that boys will be mobbed by their fanatic fans that they have decided to dress them up “subtly” in animal fancy dress costumes to disguise them.

The plan consists of the boys arriving to the festival in separate cars, as opposed to a potentially riot inducing tour bus or limo, each one of the boys will be decked out in an animal costume as they aim to fly under the radar of festival attendees.

Pandas Invade Trafalgar Square

The world is celebrating its first ever Panda Awareness Week as the population of the lovable bears has dropped down to a mere 1,600 left in the wild. The panda is now the most endangered species in the world, but if you were in Trafalgar Square yesterday you would be forgiven for thinking that this might not be completely accurate.

Over 100 performers gathered in Trafalgar Square dressed in Panda fancy dress costumes and danced a specially choreographed routine to spread awareness of a species that is slowly becoming extinct due to habitat loss. The flash mob with a cause mentality has helped to raise awareness of the species worldwide.

The costume worn by Michael Keaton in Batman Returns is set to go up for auction in Hollywood later this month. Batman Returns was Tim Burton’s second crack at the character franchise and it was lauded as a major success both in the box office and amongst critics.

Now you can get a piece of film and cinematic history by getting your hands on Keaton’s costume which, includes a rubber body suit, rubber boots and a rubberised cape, but be warned it won’t be cheap and the costume is estimated to fall under the hammer for around $50,000

CERN Scientist Announce Discovery of Higgs boson – The God Particle

Tomorrow in Melbourne, scientist from CERN, the European nuclear research institute are expected to announce the discovery of the Higgs boson or as it is better known in layman’s terms, “the God particle”.The announcement, set for 8:00 am GMT, is widely considered to be one of the most important in modern science as early rumours suggest the CERN team have found light at the end of the tunnel in the forty-eight year search for the Higgs boson particle.
