Celebrate the end of the school year with children’s fancy dress

It may still be a few weeks away, but if you’re struggling to organise something fun for a class full of kids to do for the end of the school year, then you could try a children’s fancy dress walking bus.

This is what parents and teachers at the Meadows School in Lincoln sorted out recently and it went down a storm, the Lincolnshire Echo reports.

Around 150 children dressed up in colourful costumes and walked to school two by two, stopping to pick up their friends along the way, just like a real bus.

Reveller dressed as Wonder Woman gets a superhero fancy dress surprise

When Henley resident Hema Williams was told to dress up in a Wonder Woman fancy dress costume for a small 40th birthday party in her back garden, she probably didn’t expect to spend the day surrounded by hundreds of other superheroes.

However, that’s exactly what happened thanks to her husband Lee, the Henley Standard reports.

The enterprising spouse got her all dressed up and then drove her to the local golf club, where more than 200 friends and family members were waiting in their costumes to surprise

Women don sexy fancy dress for nighttime hospice walk

A huge group of women donned pink feather boas and similar sexy fancy dress items over the weekend in order to raise money for a hospice.

More than 2,000 people took part in the Midnight Walk in Ipswich in Sunday (May 23rd 2010) to generate vital funds for St Elizabeth Hospice.

They set off at the city’s football stadium and walked eight miles for the charity, which took an average of two hours, according to the East Anglian Daily Times.

Wiltshire to swing in Sixties fancy dress

The village of Box in Wiltshire is getting ready to swing at the end of the month as they go back to the Summer of Love in Sixties fancy dress.

Its annual Box Revels Fun Day kicks off on May 31st at the Box Recreation Ground and the theme will reflect everything from this fab decade, from the Beatles to the World Cup.

Chairman Mike Curd told the Wiltshire Times he is getting very excited about the event.
