Halloween fancy dress costume causes mystery in US

Something of a mystery has erupted in the US over a man, a suspected burglary and a Halloween fancy dress costume.

In a case that could have come straight from Scooby Doo, a man was arrested earlier this month after being found by police outside an Oregon museum wearing some kind of creature from the Black Lagoon outfit, the Daily Mail reports.

3 days until Halloween fancy dress – Have fun carving your pumpkins!

With the preparations for Halloween fancy dress parties now underway in earnest, it could be the perfect time to get hold of a pumpkin or two and carve them to create jack o'lanterns.

Once you've selected your specimens, Pumpkin Carving 101 recommends using a very sharp kitchen knife to make the initial hole in the top and then a paring knife for detail work.

Fake blood and realistic makeup is essential for anyone who intends to take their Halloween fancy dress seriously.
